ROCHESTER — The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce congratulates and announces this year’s scholarship recipients.  The three recipients who each received a $1,000 scholarship award towards their future academic endeavors are: Madelyn Gagnon of Spaulding High School, Stella Mitropoulos of Spaulding High School, and Katelyn Whiteman of Somersworth High School.  
Gagnon plans to attend Johnson & Wales University in the fall to pursue a degree in exercise science. Upon graduating college, she plans to further her education to obtain a doctorate in physical therapy, and work as a physical therapist.
Mitropoulos will attend Saint Anselm College to pursue a degree in health science on a pre-physical therapy track. Stella has a passion for health and wellness, particularly in physical therapy.  Her goal is to become a licensed physical therapist with a concentration in neurology, working in a clinical or sports setting, helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.
Whiteman will attend the University of New Hampshire in the fall to pursue a degree in physics. She plans to further her education to achieve a doctorate in astronomy with a goal to work for NASA.
