ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – The Rockford Promise scholarship helps local high school seniors go to college tuition-free.
Rockford’s high school seniors can apply for the Rockford Promise scholarship to Rockford University, Rock Valley College or Northern Illinois University.
The scholarship covers all tuition and fees not already addressed by state, federal and institution-specific financial aid.
The Rockford Promise program also provides students with scholar support services to help them complete their degree once in college.
Last year, 182 Rockford Public School graduates received Rockford Promise scholarships.
