Orangeburg, NY – More than 400 runners and walkers came together on Saturday for the 5th Annual Rockland GAA Memorial 5K Run/Walk, a community-driven event supporting scholarships for graduating seniors who have played for the Rockland Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) over the past three years.
Among the participants was Orangetown Supervisor Teresa Kenny, who joined the pack of athletes in support of this meaningful cause. Congressman Mike Lawler was also in attendance, recognizing the organization’s commitment to youth development and community spirit.
The event celebrated the athleticism and dedication of its top finishers, with awards presented to the top three men and women runners. Pictured alongside Supervisor Kenny were standout participants Art Gunter, Dylan Gearinger, Meagan Jaskot, Catriona Corbett, and Kara Vandooijeweert.
Proceeds from the run go directly toward funding scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors who have been active members of Rockland GAA, helping them take the next step in their academic and athletic journeys.
Congratulations to all who participated and crossed the finish line, making this year’s memorial run a memorable and impactful success.
