On Saturday, January 11, 2025, the Rotary Club of Boca Raton will host its 27th Annual OPAL Gala, honoring Outstanding People And Leaders who have enriched our community through their philanthropy and volunteerism. Often described as “The Academy Awards for Community Service in Boca Raton,” this inspiring event will celebrate individuals whose dedication has made a lasting impact. The festivities begin at 6:30 PM at the luxurious Boca West Country Club with a lavish cocktail reception, followed by an elegant, seated dinner, a thrilling live auction, and an uplifting awards program inducting the newest members into the OPAL Society. This year’s event will also include a heartfelt tribute to Spencer Siegel, a devoted Rotarian and former OPAL Gala Co-Chair.
Proceeds from the OPAL Gala provide scholarships for underprivileged, high-achieving students, helping them pursue college, trade programs, and professional certifications in fields such as firefighting and paramedics. To further their success, the Rotary Club of Boca Raton pairs scholarship recipients with mentors, assists with internships, and helps students secure meaningful employment after graduation.
