At the March 22 Cal State Long Beach Dirtbags baseball game at Blair Field, CSULB President Jane Close Conoley was presented with a check for $315,500 from the Long Beach Rotary Club.
The funds represent 125 scholarships for students, officials said.
Rotary Club of Long Beach has established both a scholarship foundation and a charitable foundation to service the Long Beach community.
Scholarships are presented annually. Last month, Long Beach City College received funding from the Rotary Scholarship Foundation.
More than 50 Long Beach Rotarians were on hand to celebrate the CSULB presentation at the Dirtbags game.
The check was presented by Michele Dobson, President of Rotary Club of Long Beach, and Rotary Scholarship Foundation President Cam Killingsworth.
