Senior students in the Charles City School District who are on schedule to graduate this year are eligible to apply for an Outstanding Senior Scholarship through the Charles City Rotary Club.
A total of two scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded based on  scholarship criteria including academic and extra-curricular activities through school, as well as involvement in community (non-school) activities that help make for a more well-rounded community member. You do not have to have a family connection to Rotary to apply, and the scholarship awards are not tied into attending college or a certain field of study. Rather, they are a reward for outstanding involvement in and out of the classroom.
Applications area available through the Charles City High School Guidance Counselors Office or by contacting Rotary Scholarship Committee Chair Mark Wicks at [email protected]
Completed applications must be turned back by 1 p. on April 28th to be considered.
*The Charles City Rotary Club meets Mondays at noon at the Elks Lodge, with the motto “Service Above Self.”
