(KNSI) – A record number of applications flooded the Rox Community Foundation this year, putting the judges in a pickle for their annual scholarship program.
Fifteen high school seniors were chosen from over 280 entries with help from a panel consisting of professionals at Wells, CLA and NAPA Central. Scholarship winners were picked from six categories, showing off a range of skills, both academic and athletic. The trades were represented by the automotive category. Arts, disabilities, education, sports, and volunteerism were some of the other fields accepted.
Rox Community Foundation Chief Administrator Rachel Thiesse says, “These students are doing amazing things in the classroom, in their communities and in so many different areas. Supporting them through these scholarships is one of the best parts of what we do with the
Rox Community Foundation.”
