QUINCY (WGEM) -R&R Golf is looking to award five golf scholarships to local youth golfers to help grow the game. The plan is for the store to help provide equipment for players who are interested or already playing the sport but cannot afford the gear.
Andrew Smith who owns the store, has been hard at work reaching out to local teams and coaches to see who they can help before the season starts up this fall.
“We are really excited. Just looking to give back to the community that supports us. Part of being in this town is trying to give back to the community. We want to give kids the opportunity to play golf that maybe haven’t had that opportunity before or maybe would never have stepped on the course without the help of somebody else,” said Smith.
