MEDORA — Rumpke Waste & Recycling has awarded $2,500 scholarships to two recent graduates of Seymour High School, Greer Henry and Jay Herbert.
The scholarships are part of Rumpke’s annual program to support students in the communities it serves who are pursuing higher education.
Henry, who plans to attend Indiana University, will study special education to become a teacher. Herbert will attend Vincennes University to pursue a degree in agribusiness, with aspirations of working in the agricultural industry.
“Rumpke is committed to giving back and investing in the future of students from the communities we serve,” said Eric Curtis, region vice president of Rumpke. “We’re honored to recognize Greer and Jay, not only for their academic successes, but also for their efforts to protect and preserve the environment.”
In 2025, Rumpke provided a total of $66,500 in scholarships to students across its service area.
