SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) – Families shopped for a good cause over the weekend during a flea market fundraiser in Saginaw.
The group K?onda! hosted the outdoor event on Saturday at the Radiant Church of God on W. Genesee Avenue.
It’s part of a large, ongoing fundraising effort ahead of the 5th Annual Fiesta K?onda! in September. The three-day event will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and Mexican Independence Day. It will also include the winner of the K?onda! Estrella (Star) Scholarship.
Organizers said the flea market will help keep the fiesta free for the community and give families a chance to shop and enjoy the beautiful summer weather. It will also raise money for the scholarship.
Vendors sold items including arts and crafts, furniture, candles, and clothes. Members of the Radiant Church of God also sold brisket taco dinners.
Sponsors are still needed for Fiesta K?onda! Sept. 19-21 at Morley Plaza on N. Washington Avenue in Saginaw.
