Saint Therese offers $6,000 in scholarships to student volunteers – Monroe Evening News
High school students who volunteer with seniors in Saint Therese communities can now apply for the organization’s annual Youth Volunteer Scholarships, which recognize young people making a difference through service.
Three $2,000 scholarships are expected to be awarded in spring 2026, according to a community announcement. The program celebrates intergenerational connections and the impact youth volunteers have on older adults in Saint Therese communities across Minnesota, Michigan and Ohio.
To be eligible, applicants must be in grades 11–12 during the 2025–2026 school year and complete at least 20 volunteer hours at a Saint Therese location by the time of submission. Volunteer activities may include companionship visits, assisting with dining or housekeeping, escorting residents to mass or beauty appointments, calling bingo, leading drum circles, sharing musical talents or helping with other services.
Applications are due by March 1, 2026. Recipients will be announced in April, and scholarship funds will be sent directly to the students’ educational institutions to cover tuition or other qualifying expenses.
