The Salem Airport Authority has awarded this year’s Ralph Mirka Scholarship to Salem Community High School Senior Jalen Inlow.
The $1,829 scholarship is made possible by the trust of the late Ralph Mirka that continues to give back to the community. For the last 15 years, we have received annual scholarship money that is given toward those pursuing aviation.
Inlow is currently pursuing a career in aerospace engineering and hopes one day to work for NASA or Boeing.
The Salem Airport Authority is so grateful for the legacy that Merka continues to leave. He loved aviation and always desired to see others learn to fly.
