CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) — A MLK Scholarship Breakfast program is taking place on Monday, January 20, at SIU. Those in attendance are asked to help donate some food for the Saluki Food Pantry.
The Black Graduate Greek Council, along with the NAACP, will be hosting the food drive at the event.
The event takes place at the SIU Student Center at 7:30 a.m. on Monday morning.
Anyone attending is asked to donate some items for the food pantry. These should be non-perishable food items, such as canned beans, canned meat, pasta and more.
The pantry assists SIU students with food which helps them by staying and school and meet their educational goals.
