Samantha Poppe was awarded the 2024 IVMA Foundation Incoming Freshman Scholarship for $2,000.
The Iowa Veterinary Medical Association (IVMA) is pleased to announce that Samatha Poppe originally of Waverly is the recipient of the 2024 IVMA Foundation Incoming Freshman Scholarship for $2,000.
Samatha graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. She is in her first year at Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. After obtaining her DVM, Samatha is interested in returning to Waverly to practice small animal medicine with a specialty in orthopedics, acupuncture and chiropractic.
Samantha is the daughter of Lance and Christine Poppe.
The Iowa Veterinary Medical Association is a 501c3 nonprofit, member-service organization dedicated to the veterinary profession. The IVMA supports member veterinarians and promotes the profession through continuing education, publications and advocacy.
