SEYMOUR – Schneck Medical Center is now accepting applications for the prestigious Dr. Bud Scholarship, aimed at supporting students pursuing a career in registered nursing.
Established in honor of Dr. H.P. “Bud” Graessle (1893-1977), a dedicated physician and surgeon who served the Seymour community for 53 years until his retirement in 1971, the scholarship aims to support the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Schneck Medical Center encourages applications from a range of qualified candidates. This includes individuals who are actively pursuing a course of study to become a registered nurse and have completed their freshman year at an accredited nursing program. The scholarship is also open to currently licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and those who have been accepted into an accredited program for nurse practitioners.
While all eligible students are encouraged to apply, primary consideration will be given to residents of Jackson, Jennings, Scott, and Washington counties. It is important to note that the scholarship’s official awarding is contingent upon the applicant’s acceptance for enrollment at a nursing school.
Interested students can find and complete the scholarship application online by visiting SchneckMed.org/careers. The deadline for submitting the online application is midnight on Friday, May 16th.
For any questions regarding the Dr. Bud Scholarship or the application process, prospective applicants are encouraged to contact Tammy Jones at 812-524-4236 or via email at [email address removed]. This scholarship represents a valuable opportunity for aspiring nurses in the region to receive financial support as they pursue their educational goals at Schneck Medical Center.
