The National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), parent organization of the National Honor Society, announced the winners of the 2024 National Honor Society Scholarships. She is also active in Christ the King Youth Group and Parish, where she received the Maria Goretti Award for her outstanding faith, service, and dedication to the mission of the Catholic Church. She is a volunteer in the Oncology department at Memorial Hospital and works as a CNA at Scenic Hills at the Monastery.
She is the daughter of Brett and Becky Schneider of Ferdinand and plans to attend Western Kentucky University in the fall to pursue a degree in Nursing to become a Nurse Practitioner.
Since 1946, the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) has awarded scholarships to outstanding National Honor Society (NHS) seniors. Each year, scholarship recipients are selected based on their demonstration of the four pillars of NHS: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. National Honor Society empowers and equips students with the knowledge and skills to be transformative leaders, ultimately empowering them to make profound, enduring contributions in their school, community and beyond.
“These phenomenal NHS students are on the cusp of graduating with the highest honors and will leave behind a legacy of servant leadership that has transformed their schools and communities,” said NASSP President Aaron Huff. “During their time in NHS, they have sought to address important issues—and they’ve done so with enthusiasm and determination.”
