One local opportunity for a scholarship in Greene County is accepting applications.
Amber Kenan with the Greene County Soil and Water Conservation District (Greene County SWCD), says the Greene County SWCD and the Greene County Soil and Water Conservation Club are offering graduating high school seniors in Greene County three scholarships, including one $1,000 scholarship and two $500 scholarships. Those looking to apply must be planning to enter the field of agriculture, conservation, or natural resources when going into post-secondary education. Kenan points out some of those examples of the wide ranging career fields include ag business, plumbers, agronomy, among others.
