STRATHAM — The Stratham Historical Society announced that applications for the Society’s 2025 Winfield L. Foote Awards for Academic Excellence are now underway. These scholarships are made possible by the generosity of the late Mr. Winfield L. Foote, a long-time resident of Stratham and a strong supporter of The Stratham Historical Society.
Scholarships are offered at the following levels:
For 2025 SAU16 high school graduates entering college in 2025, a minimum of $1,000 scholarship each will be granted. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors from SAU 16 District, which includes Stratham and surrounding towns. In addition, Stratham residents graduating from private schools outside the district may also apply.
Scholarships in the amount of $1,500 are offered to qualifying Rising College Juniors and Seniors.
A Thesis/Dissertation Award for Graduate students of $2,500 is offered.
A Benefactor Grant Award is also offered by the Society.
Deadline for all applications is April 1, 2025.

PORTSMOUTH – The Service CU Impact Foundation announced that the application period for 2025-2026 academic year scholarships will begin on Feb. 1, 2025.
The Foundation will award $110,000 in scholarships to high school seniors, college students and adult learners, including a $5,000 Robert Irvine Culinary Impact Scholarship to a student pursuing a career in the culinary arts.
The scholarship program is open to those planning to attend or currently attending a two- or four-year college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education. Applicants must be members of Service Credit Union or the dependent of a member (parent or grandparent). The Foundation will award scholarships in the amounts of $2,500 and $5,000, and the application period will close on April 30, 2025.

PORTSMOUTH — Lighthouse Credit Union Foundation announced that applications are now open for its annual scholarship program, providing a total of $53,000 in scholarships to support university students.
This year, the foundation is offering a new Lighthouse Community Beacon Scholarship, a $10,000 award to one student-member dedicated to addressing affordable housing, food insecurity and/or education. CONCORD — Five Granite State educators are recipients of the prestigious Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST).
Announced last week by former President Joe Biden, this award recognizes the vital role that America’s teachers play in shaping the next generation of technical leaders, including scientists, engineers, explorers and innovators.
New Hampshire is honored to have five of its teachers among the recipients announced this year. The list honors educators from the 2021, 2022 and 2023 award application cycles, which were just released last week.
