MAX– The Minot Area Community Foundation (MACF) presented scholarships in memory of Brooke Nicole Schroeder to two Max High School seniors, Delaney Hankel and Gracie Hauf, during this year’s scholarship ceremony.
The Brooke Nicole Schroeder Scholarship Endowment Fund was established in 2018 through the MACF. The purpose of the fund is to provide ongoing scholarship support to Max High School students through a permanent endowment. Recipients are selected based on their participation in school activities, involvement in community and charitable organizations, and academic achievements.
Hankel was awarded $403.98, with the amount commemorating Brooke’s birthday. Hauf was awarded the Brooke Schroeder 5K Memorial Scholarship of $150. This scholarship is funded through proceeds from the annual Brooke Schroeder 5K Memorial Run/Walk, held each August.
Schroeder is remembered by her family and friends as a loud, energetic and compassionate individual who made a lasting impact at Max High School. She was known for her fearless spirit and was actively involved in FFA, drama, band, dance, and sports. Through this scholarship, her legacy continues to inspire future generations of students.
Both scholarships serve as a lasting tribute to Brooke’s influence on the Max community and her enduring legacy of leadership, service and school spirit.
