It will be an annual scholarship to recognize outstanding students enrolled in the college’s Doctor of Chiropractic program, according to the release. Beginning with the 2024-25 academic year, the college plans to award one deserving student with this scholarship annually. Eligible candidates must hail from the Virginia area and have demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities during their undergraduate education, according to the release.
Tuck, a member of Northeast College of Health Sciences’ Board of Trustees since 2019, was known for his dedication to and leadership of the chiropractic profession – both nationally and in his home region of southern Virginia., the release continues.

A second-generation chiropractor, Tuck owned several chiropractic practices in Southwest Virginia. He was past president of the Unified Virginia Chiropractic Association and was appointed to the Virginia Board of Medicine by that state’s governor, where Tuck was the first chiropractor to serve as president.
Tuck was recipient of both the Blacksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the year and the VCA’s Chiropractor of the Year. Tuck was also a past president of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and a past ACA Chiropractor of the Year.
The establishment of this scholarship in his honor aims to continue Tuck’s legacy of excellence and support promising students in their pursuit of chiropractic education, according to the release.
