REDMOND, Ore. — Applications are now open for a scholarship honoring the memory of a Redmond FFA teacher.
The Deschutes County Farm Bureau has launched the Lance Hill Memorial Scholarship, which provides $1,500 to students pursuing a college degree or career training. Current and former FFA students in the Redmond School District qualify for the scholarship.
Hill taught Career and Technical Education for 30 years and was heavily involved in FFA and Agriculture classes at RHS. He lost his battle with cancer in late December.
The deadline to apply is April 30. Applications can be found at oregonfb.org/scholarships.
