Several local students are among 63 Minnesota State Community and Technical College (M State) students who have been awarded $2,500 scholarships this academic year through the Minnesota Legislature’s Workforce Development Scholarship program.
According to a news release, the scholarships can be renewed for a second year for a total, maximum award of $5,000 per student over four semesters, covering about half the cost of tuition for full-time students at M State.

Those eligible for the scholarship are Minnesota residents who are newly enrolled students in specific degree and diploma programs in a Minnesota State system college or university who have completed a Federal Application for Student Aid, are taking at least 9 credits per semester and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
