Scholarship opportunities are now open at Heritage University – Sunnyside Sun

TOPPENISH — Heritage University is now accepting applications for several major scholarships designed to make college more affordable and, in some cases, completely free for students beginning in fall 2026.
The Soar Scholarship, Moccasin Lake Foundation Scholarship and Dreamers Scholarship offer new and transfer students’ opportunities to pursue their degrees without the financial burden that often comes with higher education.
The Soar Scholarship covers full tuition and lab fees, plus a $500 annual book credit for up to five years. The Moccasin Lake Foundation Scholarship provides full tuition and an additional payment of $7,500 to help cover room, board and books. The Dreamers Scholarship offers 100% tuition coverage specifically for DACA and undocumented students.
In addition to these awards, Heritage University will continue its HU Excellence Scholarships program, which provides institutional funds to help students close the gap between their financial aid and tuition costs. These scholarships are available to incoming freshmen with a Student Aid Index (SAI) of less than $14,956.
The HU Excellence Scholarship covers the difference between a student’s SAI, federal Pell Grant, Washington State Need Grant and subsidized Stafford Direct Loan eligibility, ensuring full-time tuition is met with minimal out-of-pocket expenses.
Continuing students are also eligible for HU Excellence funds. Those who previously received Heritage Pledge support will continue to do so until graduation or until they exhaust their eligibility.
Students are encouraged to complete the Heritage University Academic Scholarship Application to be considered for these and other financial aid opportunities.
