The Valley Alumni Association held their annual banquet on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at The Venue on the Scioto County Fairgrounds in Lucasville. Graduates representing eight decades, from the 1950s to the present, were in attendance. Jane Young Thayer, class of 1988, served as Master of Ceremonies with McManus Catering providing the meal. Special recognition was given to the class of 1975 to commemorate their 50th anniversary. Following the dinner, the Josh Stewart Band provided music. Stewart graduated from Valley in 2012.
The Scholarship Committee was pleased to present their recipients for this year. David Adkins, member of the class of 1980 and Scholarship Committee Chair, introduced the recipients who will each receive a $2000 scholarship to further their education. Recipient Jerrett Jones, who is the son of Jerry and Jennifer Jones of McDermott, was in attendance. He is a third generation Valley graduate and will be participating in in the Reserve Officer Training Program while attending the University of Cincinnati for his degree in criminal justice.
