High school students may receive up to 8 points for having an unfavorable economic situation, and up to two points for a good final grade.

At the gates of the end of the academic year, the Community of Madrid publishes changes in the conditions to receive the baccalaureate scholarship. This year it will be possible to extend the aid obtained. That is to say, students will have the opportunity to keep it during the following academic year (2026-2027), as long as the requirements that led to its concession are fulfilled. Although the application period has not yet opened, the Official Gazette of the region has specified who will be able to apply.
The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage students from private schools in the last years of ESO to pursue higher education. In order to access the aid, they must comply with the following points:
The amounts that applicants will receive will depend on the income of their family unit. Thus, those with a per capita income of up to 10,000 euros will receive a grant of 3,750 euros, and those with between 10,000 and 35,913 euros will receive 2,000 euros. The grant can never be higher than the price of the course: the amount of the aid will be adapted to the cost of the academic year.
Families with lower incomes are more likely to get the scholarship: the lower the per capita income of the family nucleus, the more points the applicant can obtain (up to eight points). The student’s grades will also be taken into account, and he/she can obtain up to two points for a brilliant final grade.
