WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Scholarships in honor of a 14-year-old Indian Head Park girl who was killed in 2011 are available.
The scholarships are in recognition of Kelli Joy O’Laughlin’s vibrant spirit, kindness and compassion, according to a news release from a foundation in her name. She was a freshman at Lyons Township High School.
The money is for Illinois high school students graduating next year. According to the news release, six scholarships with a combined value of $56,000 will be available.

In October 2011, a burglar killed Kelli O’Laughlin in her house. The man was later convicted.
