Six $5,000 scholarships will be awarded by the American Association of University Women (AAUW), Coastal Georgetown to graduating senior girls attending Cape Henlopen, Sussex Academy, Sussex Central, Sussex Tech or Indian River high schools.
Four are regular scholarships based on community service, volunteerism and academics, while one is need-based and one is designated for a future educator.
An additional $2,500 scholarship, in memory of Heather Ann Worrall, will be awarded to a woman who has completed two years at Del Tech and is continuing to a four-year college/university in the fall of 2025 to complete her degree.
