The Schuylkill Elder Abuse Prevention Alliance (SEAPA) recently hosted the Hornbrook Award and Scholarship presentation.
State Rep. JoAnne Stehr (R-107) was there to congratulate the winners.
“This event is always a powerful reminder of the importance of protecting our seniors and recognizing those who go above and beyond to serve them, Stehr said. “(I am) grateful to SEAPA for bringing the community together to celebrate this important work.”
Cathy Clouser was this year’s Hornbrook Award winner.
“Her dedication and service to the community truly stand out,” Stehr said
Ellie Dunkelberger, a senior at Tri-Valley High School, was the recipient of this year’s scholarship.
“(Her) passion and commitment to making a difference will undoubtedly inspire many,” Stehr said.
Dunkelberger is enrolled in a dual enrollment state and local government political science class, and visited Stehr’s office as part of her final project to learn more about the work legislators do to keep our communities safe. .
