
The SECU MD Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 scholarship program, awarding $10,000 each to twelve exceptional Maryland community college students. These scholarships are specifically designed to support students transitioning to a four-year institution within the University System of Maryland (USM). Since its inception, the SECU MD Foundation has demonstrated a strong commitment to empowering Maryland students, distributing over $1.1 million in scholarships to date.
“We are incredibly proud to continue our tradition of investing in future leaders and innovators of Maryland,” said Charlotte Owsianny, Executive Director, SECU MD Foundation. “With over $1.1 million in scholarships distributed since the start of this program, we take tremendous pride in being able to support students on their path to success, ensuring they have the financial resources and support needed to thrive as they continue their education.”
The 2025 cohort of winners represents a diverse group of academic pursuits and geographic locations. Awardees have completed coursework at six different community colleges and will enroll in five different USM colleges for the 2025-2026 year. They plan to study a wide range of disciplines, including health informatics and IT, accounting, cybersecurity technology, fire protection engineering, elementary and special education, and exercise science.
