The Stanhope Elmore Senior Awards Ceremony was held recently in the gym SEHS. So far, nearly $1 Million in scholarships have been given to members of the Senior class, and more are still coming in.
There are over 240 Seniors for the Class of 2025. Academic, Athletic, Community and Departmental Awards were given.
The next big step is graduation which will take place May 19 at 7 p.m. It will be the last high school graduation to take place on the field of Foshee-Henderson Stadium. Future graduations will be held at 17 Springs, according to Principal Ewell Fuller. He shared important information about graduation. He expects a record crowd to attend this year, which could bring up issues.
Once parking is full at SEHS, overflow parking will be sent to Millbrook Middle School. After graduation PLEASE do not enter the field to greet graduates. Parents and family will meet up with the graduates on the practice field.
As for Awards Day, Principal Ewell Fuller congratulated the Class of 2025 and welcomed all in attendance. He said, “Outstanding leadership defined this class. I have watched them come in as ninth grade boys and girls and leave out as young men and young ladies! I could not be prouder. We are SE! We win…just saying.”
The posting of colors was presented by the SEHS Army JROTC Color Guard.
After the ceremony concluded, families were invited to stay for refreshments and to watch a senior slide show in the Atrium.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025 for their many accomplishments and hard work! Editor’s Note: We requested a full list of Seniors awarded, but it was not available.
