KALISPELL — Angelina Escarcega of Poplar and Tirza TwoTeeth of Ronan are the recipients of this year’s Selah Natural Medicine Girls Wrestling Scholarship.
Each of the winners will receive a $1,000 scholarship, Selah Natural Medicine of Kalispell announced in a Friday press release. This is the third-straight year Dr. Chip Halverson, ND, of Kalispell and Portland, Oregon, has offered the scholarship.
According to the press release, “while you do not need to be a state champion or be on the honor roll to apply, you do need to demonstrate character, integrity, determination and a willingness to help others.”
Both recipients were three-time Montana state high school champions and four-time finalists. Additionally they will both be continuing their wrestling careers at the collegiate level this fall, Escarcega at the University of Sioux Falls (South Dakota) and TwoTeeth at North Central College (Illinois).
