Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington has announced that the Bossier Sheriff’s Office will be participating in awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior in Bossier Parish. The scholarship is available through the Louisiana Sheriff’s Honorary Membership Program. 
The goal of this program is to support and encourage local students as they continue their educational journey at a higher institution.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
“Education is a powerful tool that opens doors to brighter futures,” said Sheriff Whittington. “We are excited to offer this scholarship to a deserving student who will continue their studies in Louisiana. This is one small way we can invest in our community’s future.”
Scholarship applications must be submitted by April 1, 2025. All scholarship winners will be announced by May 1, 2025. Additional information on the application process can be found on the Louisiana Sheriff’s Association website.
