Sid Bream to highlight GHC Scholarship Gala – WRGA

Atlanta Braves legend Sid Bream will serve as the keynote speaker for Georgia Highlands College’s annual Scholarship Gala on Thursday at The Forum River Center in downtown Rome.
Bream, best known for his iconic slide into home plate during the 1992 National League Championship Series—a moment hailed by Sports Illustrated as the “Most Electrifying Moment in Atlanta Braves History”—will share reflections on his career and the importance of giving back to the next generation.
In addition to dinner and dancing, a silent auction featuring exclusive sports memorabilia, vacation getaways, and entertainment experiences will be held.
All proceeds from the event directly support student scholarships, helping to transform lives and strengthen communities across Northwest Georgia.
