LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Silver State Schools Credit Union Board of Directors awarded ten scholarships on Saturday for the 2024 People Over Profit Foundation Scholarship program.
Each of the Nevada high school seniors received a $2,000 scholarship renewable for up to four years to use toward a higher education.

"The People Over Profit, or POP Foundation, was created about five years ago, and it really supports the whole education community. Both students and teachers and all educators, quite frankly, to make sure we improve and enhance the lives of all education within the Southern Nevada community," said President and CEO Scott Arkills.
Silver State Schools Credit Union has awarded more than $1.2 million in scholarships to graduating seniors since 1989.
