MARION — The annual Richard I. and Helen A. Arthur Scholarship has been increased to $2,000 and is seeking new applicants. Those interested must be a Marion resident in their last year of high school or enrolled as a freshman or sophomore in college elsewhere.
Richard and Helen Arthur were residents of Marion and volunteers for the Sippican Land Trust.
Requirements for the application include a completed scholarship information sheet, a personal statement highlighting the applicant’s educational goals and interests, information about environmental courses taken, community service, volunteer involvement and jobs held.
Two letters of reference with contact information are required.
All forms will be available in guidance offices and on the SLT website at http://www.sippicanlandstrust.org/scholarship. Completed applications must be postmarked by Thursday, May 1 to be considered.
