CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) — Southern Illinois University Carbondale has awarded this year’s Chancellor’s and Provost’s Scholarships to a select group of students for their outstanding academic achievements and community involvement.
The Chancellor’s Scholarship, the largest first-year award at SIU, will cover tuition, fees, housing, and meals for four years for 34 students chosen from 612 applicants.
The Provost’s Scholarship, the largest transfer student award, will provide two years of tuition and fees for 16 students selected from more than 100 applicants.

These scholarships recognize students not only for their academic excellence but also for their leadership and extracurricular engagement. Recipients are invited to join the University Honors Program to further their intellectual and leadership pursuits.
