Two Magnolia students are receiving Albemarle Scholarships.
For children of Albemarle employees and retirees, the Gottwald Scholarship Program is an opportunity to reduce the financial burden of higher education and aligns with Albemarle’s strategic giving focus of supporting a future-ready workforce.
Albemarle established the Gottwald Scholarship program in 2007 to make it easier for students to pursue their higher education dreams, whether at the university level or in through vocational school.
Recipients from Magnolia are Skylar Montgomery, attending Southern Arkansas University as a Floyd D. Gottwald Scholarship recipient, and Karlie McNatt, attending Louisiana Tech University.
“The Gottwald Scholarship Program is part of our heartfelt commitment to developing the workforce of the future,” said Dave McDonald, director of the Albemarle Foundation. “Curiosity is one of our core values at Albemarle, so we want to help our employees’ families embrace this and help students achieve their next level of learning.”
