{KXLG – South Dakota} The South Dakota Farm Bureau (SDFB) has announced that it will award $8,000 in scholarships for 2024. The recipients of these scholarships are high school seniors and college students who are either member of the South Dakota Farm Bureau or have parents/guardians who have been members for at least two years.
The scholarships are divided into two categories: agriculture-focused and community-focused. The category in which applicants are considered depends on their major and their experience with agriculture.
The South Dakota Farm Bureau Scholarship Fund was established in 2005 by Richard and Agnes Ekstrum of Kimball, S.D. Richard served as the South Dakota Farm Bureau president from 1975 to 1995.
