{KXLG – Watertown, SD} The South Dakota Retailers Association (SDRA) is inviting applications for its annual scholarship program to support students pursuing careers in retail, hospitality, business, or trades. The scholarships are open to students enrolled in post-secondary education in the fall of 2024.
The deadline for applications is April 23, 2024.
Since its inception in 1992, the SDRA scholarship program has propelled the careers of aspiring entrepreneurs, managers, and employees. Applicants must enroll or plan to enroll in a retail-related course at a technical school, college, or university in the fall of 2024 to qualify.
In 2023, the association awarded six students scholarships ranging from $2,100 to $3,500. Nearly $238,000 has been awarded to 275 recipients throughout the program’s history.
Nathan Sanderson, the Executive Director of the South Dakota Retailers Association, expressed his enthusiasm for the program. “We know there are many talented people who have an entrepreneurial spirit or who plan to work in a business. Our scholarship program can help launch them on their career path. Investing just a few minutes of time applying for our scholarship could result in an award of $2,000 or more.”
Visit sdra.org/scholarships to download the application and view the full eligibility guidelines, or call (605) 224-5050 for information. Submission deadline is Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
