The South Warren Ruritan Club awarded three $2,000 scholarships on Aug. 12 at the club’s annual family picnic and awards ceremony in Front Royal. Recipients include:
• Gabriel Tweedie, a graduate of Skyline High School, received the J. Berkeley Pomeroy Memorial Scholarship.
• Mikaela Hamilton, a graduate of Warren County High School, received the Edgar R. Baldwin Memorial Scholarship.
• Sean Flynn, a Warren County High School graduate, received the Floyd Baltimore Memorial Scholarship.
Scholarships are funded by the club’s annual spaghetti dinner proceeds and sponsorships. More than 60 local businesses and individuals contribute each year to this spring-time event.
