DYER BROOK, Maine — Southern Aroostook Community High School seniors received scholarship awards of over $200,000 at their very memorable graduation and scholarship awards ceremony held on Friday, June 7 in the gym. The graduation was well attended by family and friends.
The following scholarship awards were presented:
Krisalyn Booker received the Audrey Benn Memorial and the Mary Ann Sprague Edwards Memorial Scholarships. She also received a Henry & Mary Joy Memorial Scholarship.
Amaya Boutilier was awarded a scholarship from the Worthington Foundation, the Bev Clark Memorial Scholarship, Oakfield Alumni Scholarship, Bartlett Family Scholarship, F.A. Peabody Scholarship and a SACS Scholarship Program Award.
Brennan Burpee received the following: RSU #50 Education Assoc. Scholarship, Site Flight, LLC Scholarship, York’s of Houlton Scholarship, Henry & Mary Joy Scholarship and a SACS Scholarship Award.
Dylan Burpee received scholarships from the Worthington Foundation, Ricker College, Bartlett Family, Bates Fuel, Community Living Assoc., Ted Friel Memorial, Larry & Phyllis Greenlaw Memorial, Kevin Hunt Memorial, Kirby Living Trust, Leslie McNelly Award, Scotty & Candy Nevers, Oakfield Alumni, Pete Porter Memorial, James Odgers Memorial, Site Flight, LLC, Elaine Small Family and SACS Scholarship Program.
Leana Caswell was awarded a Maine Blue Collar Scholarship, Katahdin Trust Company Scholarship and the Charlotte Benn McDonald Memorial Scholarship.
Candace Day received scholarships from the following: David Ryan Memorial, Diane Desmond Memorial, Jerry’s Food & Hardware and the Katahdin Club.
Tristen Hardy received an anonymous scholarship in Loving Memory of Thomas F. Sheehan, scholarships from: American Legion Post #52, Arthur Briggs Memorial, Toby Collier Memorial, Curry Family Giving Fund, Kirby Living Trust, Paula & Perry Lilley, Katahdin Cedar Log Homes,

Brooke Ivey was awarded a Worthington Foundation Scholarship, The Presidential Scholarship from Northern Maine Community College and the Gary & Karen Stairs Scholarship.
Destin Joiner was awarded the Ted Friel Memorial Scholarship, Katahdin Federal Credit Union Scholarship and scholarships from The Slice Restaurant and the SACS Scholarship Program.
Emmalee Landry received the following scholarships: an anonymous scholarship, a Maine Blue Collar Scholarship, a scholarship from the AVEDA Institute, Sally Cyr Memorial, Edwards Family Scholarship, Leslie McNelly Award, Malcolm & Priscilla Palmer Scholarship, RSU #50 Education Assoc., Site Flight, LLC, Henry & Mary Joy Memorial and SACS Scholarship Program Scholarship.
Kobe MacArthur was presented an award from the Paul F. Sherman Sr. Scholarship fund.
