WACO, Texas — The Waco Police Department’s Community Opportunity Event may be over, but there is still a chance for Central Texans to win scholarships from the Southern Careers Institute (SCI).
Southern Careers Institute is offering two $4,000 scholarships for those who are looking to continue their education at the Institute. According to Waco PD, the scholarships are open to those aged 18-25 who are “looking to better their future” at SCI.
The two winners will reportedly be chosen by the Waco Police Department Neighborhood Engagement Team (NET). Waco PD said winners will be contacted in June 2024.
