On Sunday, December 8, The Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (CSFP) surprised a number of Philadelphia families at the IBX RiverRink with news that their kids had been selected to receive scholarships through the eighth grade beginning in the ‘25-’26 school year.
CSFP is the largest K-8 scholarship program in the city, having awarded more than $125 million to families to date. Over 70,000 partial scholarships have been awarded to under-resourced families to attend private schools through the CSFP. While public schools such as Bartram High continue to see declining graduation rates and worsening standards for math and reading proficiency, many families in Southwest are seeking opportunities for their children to attend private schools. Through the offerings of CSFP, more and more families are able to give their children the opportunities that all children deserve.
