CLEVELAND, Ohio – The International Culinary Arts & Sciences Institute has scheduled “An Evening with Cru Uncorked” to benefit the ICASI Scholarship Foundation.
The food and wine event is 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 7.
It’s a collaboration between executive chef Sam Lesniak and sommelier and maitre d’hotel Janine Poleman. The event will feature sampling of wines paired with small plates. A portion of ticket sales will support the ICASI Scholarship Fund Inc.’s mission to provide scholarships to students seeking a career in culinary and pastry arts and to engage in charitable and educational activities.
Cru Uncorked is a French-New American restaurant on Chagrin Boulevard in Moreland Hills. It maintains a huge cellar and one of the best wine lists in the region.
Wines are being determined, but here’s the menu:
• Halibut lobster terrine – Fuji apple mousse, rye cracker, mango, saffron, red pepper.
• Cumin pork belly – chive soubise (French onion sauce), charred onion, peas, morels, roasted garlic butter.
• Smoked duck – blueberry compote, lime radish, duck strudel, blueberry jus.
• Lime granita intermezzo – yuzu, mint.
• Oat crust pecan pie – maple oat foam, crispy milk cracker, caramelized milk panna cotta.
Cost is $125. Go to lpscinc.com for tickets.
ICASI is at 8700 Mayfield Road, Chesterland.
