The SMA Foundation was established in 2006 in the interest of founding a scholarship program for graduate and undergraduate students in sport administration and management programs. In order to be eligible for a scholarship, a student must have completed a minimum of two years of study or be classified as a junior, must be a full-time student for the full scholarship year, must engage actively in community service, and must possess stadium related work experience. The SMA Foundation scholarship committee reviews applications and selects three students annually.
