THOMASVILLE — For the 2025 fall semester, which began Aug. 19, the Southern Regional Technical College Foundation awarded scholarships to 90 students totaling $103,261. The SRTC scholarship funds assist students with education-related costs such as tuition, fees, books, classroom and lab supplies, and travel-related expenses.
Moultrie-area recipients of the scholarships included:
Norman Park: Hannah Arnold and Krishna Turner.
Hartsfield: Dalton Bachelor.
Meigs: Taylor Chason and Taylor Figueroa.
Moultrie: Torrey Edwards, Carmen Guzman-Castro, Alexis Hernandez, Lindsey Holton-Edwards, Jennifer Mitchell, Covin Payne, Francisco Perez Lopez, Emily Reyes Gonzalez, Donquerrious Shaw, Rayneisha Simmons, Brett Wilson and Logan Wright.
Pavo: Jasmine Linder.
This fall’s scholarship awards grew from $88,839.74 in fall 2024 to $103,261 in fall 2025. This growth is a testament to both increased donor generosity and the college’s rising enrollment, SRTC said. The college has experienced a 27.3% annual enrollment increase from Academic Year 2022 to Academic Year 2025, marking ten consecutive semesters of growth through Fall 2025.
“On behalf of the SRTC Foundation Board of Trustees, congratulations to each of these students on their fall 2025 scholarship awards. This is a very competitive process, and we are proud to celebrate our students’ accomplishments. Thank you to all of our generous donors who make awarding these scholarships possible,” commented Christina Reneau, executive director of institutional advancement.
The application period for spring scholarships began Aug. 25, and applications may be submitted until Nov. 30. Current and future SRTC students may apply for Foundation scholarships online: https://southernregional.edu/scholarships.
