The Hillsboro Elks Lodge and the Southern State Community College Foundation have announced Addyston Knauff as the 2025 recipient of the Hillsboro Elks Scholarship.
Addy is a 2025 graduate from Hillsboro High School and has been heavily involved in activities with both the school and community, logging over 1,000 hours of community service throughout her high school career.
The $1,000 Hillsboro Elks scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate financial need and who display a commitment to volunteerism and community service. Knauff has participated in several veteran service activities, volunteered for years as a counselor at 4-H camp, served with Girl Scout Troop initiatives, and been involved in leadership roles through the Hillsboro FFA and Highland County Jr. Fair Board, along with membership in several local organizations.
“The Hillsboro Elks is proud to partner with Southern State and glad that a deserving student like Addy will be able to further her education with assistance from us,” said Hillsboro Elks Club representative, Curran Butler.
“On behalf of Southern State Community College, I congratulate Addy as a recipient of the Hillsboro Elks Scholarship. Her commitment to service and leadership is outstanding and suggests this investment will pay dividends in the future,” said Southern State President Dr. Nicole Roades. She continued, “We are thankful for the generosity of the Hillsboro Elks Club. Their commitment to education and fostering the next generation of servant leaders is applauded and appreciated.”
