To qualify for the No Ordinary JOE award, high school seniors must be nominated by the school administration for outstanding work.

The students who are nominated from each school get a $500 scholarship, the finalist for their school gets a $2,500 scholarship, and of those school finalists, one student is selected to earn a $10,000 scholarship and be Bay County’s No Ordinary JOE.
“It’s really amazing for all of us to see what these students can do,” said April Wilkes, the Executive Director of St. Joe Community Foundation. “It’s really refreshing to see all these students and what they have done for the community, and their classmates.”
The finalists from each high school go through an interview process to decide who gets to be Bay County’s No Ordinary JOE.
