WESTPORT–Staples High School is proud to announce the seven members of the Class of 2026 who have qualified as National Merit Scholarship Corporation semifinalists in the 71st annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
The Staples High School semifinalists are: Owen Goldfarb, Nathaniel Greely, Jay Hari, Isabel Jo, Dylan O’Brien, Julian Saraf, Matthew Tybur.
Nationwide, fewer than one percent of the over 1.3 million students who took the 2024 qualifying exam will compete for 6,930 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $26 million.
Staples High School Principal Stafford W. Thomas, Jr. praised the achievements of these students, saying “It is an extraordinary honor for these students to be recognized for their academic abilities, and an honor for our school.”
