For the 19th consecutive year, Alexander (Zander) Blewett, III, a local trial lawyer Hoyt & Blewett PLLC, offered three $1,000 scholarships to the top student/wrestlers around the state of Montana for classes AA, A and B/C.
The scholarships are awarded to the top wrestler from each school classification who displayed the best combined qualities of wrestling and academic achievement.
“It is inspiring to see these student-athletes excel both on the mat and in the classroom,” Zander Blewett said in a release.
The winners are:
Kale Baumann, of Great Falls High, is the winner of the Class AA scholarship.
Baumann won the 2025 State Championship with a 38-0 record. He also earned a place in the state finals all four years of his high school wrestling career en route to three second place finishes. Baumann recently earned All-American honors at the NHSCA High School Nationals in Virginia Beach, Va. Baumann accomplished all of this while earning a 4.0 GPA. He plans to attend the University of Mary when he intends to obtain a nursing degree and eventually pursue an advanced degree.
Reece Graves of Sidney High School is the Class A winner. Graves earned a 3.5 GPA and was a three time state champion placing at state all four years of his high school wrestling career. He plans on continuing his education and obtaining a nursing degree, while competing in track.
Hayden Ramaeker of Huntley Project High School is the Class B/C winner. Ramaeker earned a 4.0 GPA and is a two-time state champion, placing at state all four years of his high school wrestling career. Heh holds a school record for the single season pins with 41 pins and has been awarded the most valuable wrestler at Huntley Project High. He will continue his wrestling career at Jamestown College where he intends to study civil engineering.
“We love wrestling for the life lessons it teaches and these kids embody what this great sport is all about,” Blewett said in a release.
Blewett also offers $500 scholarships to the top student/wrestlers at four high schools in North-Central Montana.
